A BIG THANK YOU! Added by: Daniella Gallo on 06-Jun-2010

I would like to take the opportunity to thank the Angus Show for announcing on their web site that my Morgan mare will showing there!... It is fantastic that the BMHS has been given a mention at one of the top shows in Scotland.

Once again thank  you!

Team Morgan at Equithon Added by: Peter Berry on 05-Sep-2010
Team MorganImage: Team Morgan

Jan Rogers and her mare Lightening, joined, Andrew, Rosie and myself to make a team of four Morgans at this year's Equithon.

A great time was had by all on the 13.2 mile course over the beautiful Eaton Estate. Plenty of opportunity to canter and gallop over acres of grassy fields with quiet lanes on which to catch our breath before the next 'burst'. It was really good to be able to chat on the way round and while we weren't deadly serious about the racing aspect, managed a respecatble time of 2 hours 20 minutes.

Welcome to Region 3 of the BMHS Added by: Anna Tehrani Hamilton on 18-Mrz-2010

Everyone should have at least one. Morgan horse that is.  The breed is the best and most versatile you can have.  If you cannot afford one then remortgage your house to finance one.  It will be the best home improvement you will ever make. Let me know any news, views or events and let's show all those non owning Morgan horse owners what they are missing!

The Power of the Internet! Added by: on 20-Jul-2010

The Internet is a very powerful thing - powerful enough to bring Morgan owners together!!!!

I had a lovely email from a lady called Rachel, who has a 3/4 bred Morgan. A 2 yr old that was bred by Rosita Hamar who Rachel hopes to prodominantly  do hacking with (maybe we can pursuade her to do more than that!!!). The nice thing is she lives about 1/2 hr away from me and we made contact from a site that was not Morgan orientated. Maybe we should fly banners above our lorries/horse boxes stating that  'A Morgan Owner Lives Here 'with a big neon sign flashing!!!

It is a good thing to bring the Morgan Community together whether it be with our Pure Breds or Part Breds.

Apologies!! Added by: on 03-Jul-2010
Whispering Whammuntion aka Whammy!!Image: Whispering Whammuntion aka Whammy!!

Apologies for being very silent over the last couple of weeks!!! Time has gone, where.... I dont know, but I know it hasnt stopped!!! Enigma has had his first year of covering and got his gold star and certificate. I travelled over 3,000 miles to get to the 50th Conneticutt Morgan Horse Show and KGA Morgans of Mendon Mass, so Im slowly coming down to the real pace of life which is going even faster I think! Con Morgan was great fun, I made lots of new friends and met some outstanding Morgans most of which I could have brought home! Holly from Rhode Island Tack became my best friend (look her up) and Boston Airport appreciated my excess baggage that I blame her for entirely!!!!!!! I nearly didnt get  my new bits and bobs back tho for the 5hr delay I endured -  a broken plane can take as much time as it wants to get me home lol!!

A horse who made a lasting impression on me was Whispering Whammuntion, a horse who looks over his domain with as much pride as his owner. Any new person had to go thru a strict entry regime on his terms, and if you were allowed in, you had to rub his gums with military precision or you would get shouted at to do it again properly!!! A very 'quiet' breeding stallion, but his offspring - awesomel!!!!!!

Please remember the people from down South, we really do exist and we like to hear your news, however stupid/unimportant or trivial you may think! If its too long, still send it anyway, we can always get it in the Mag as Carol & Mike Evans found out!!

Welcome to Region 6 Added by: Tina Lakin on 17-Mrz-2010

Welcome to our new Regional webpage.

Whether you own a morgan or just love horses we would love to hear of any events, shows, pleasure rides or just good social events that are taking place within our area. The morgan is a breed that is second to none and therefore would be ideal for any discipline so please let me know as much as possible.

Huntersmoon's new edition Added by: Tina Lakin on 06-Jul-2010

Thought you might be interested in the latest arrival at the “HUNTERSMOON” stables, he arrived Sunday morning at about 6.30am and as yet we haven’t named him although “Independence” seems to be a front runner suggested by Tina Lakin, as he was born July 4th American independence day, he & his mom have had their post delivery checks by the vet and are both good to go.

“Independence” is the result of a brief but very meaningful relationship between “Touchstone” (his mom) and a very handsome “Supersonic” (his dad) unfortunately his mother dumped his dad soon after their short  affair and “Indy” is now, as a lot of children are nowadays of a single parent family, we at “Huntersmoon” will of course endeavour to compensate for his loss by becoming a surrogate father and see to it that he’s brought up to be well mannered, polite, and a credit to his parents.

Peace & Love
