BMHS Easter Photo Competition

B.M.H.S Easter Online Show Schedule 


Welcome to our first online show, this event is open to members of the Society we also welcome non- members to participate. The rules are simple, forward a photograph that you would like to submit, and we will create a folder for each class on the B.M.H.S Facebook page, the winners of each class will be announced online, and rosettes will be sent out in the post.

All classes are being judged by Dwayne Knowles.

Dwayne Knowles is one half of the hugely successful training establishment, Broadmoor Morgan Horse Farm, along with his partner Mike Goebig. With World Championship awards in every discipline within the Morgan breed, he is an expert in his field and has been training Morgan Horses for over 35 years. 

Dwayne is an accomplished United States Equestrian Federation large “R” judge, and is licensed to judge Morgans, Saddlebreds, and Saddle Seat Equitation. Over the years he has also judged many different and diverse World Breeds in Europe and the USA. 




Class 1)     Pure bred Morgan In Hand 

Class 2)    Foreign Breed Geldings In Hand 

Class 3)    Foreign Breed Mares In Hand

Class 4)    Foreign Breed Stallions In Hand 

Class 5)    Purebred Morgan Ridden (any seat)

Class 6)    Youth Class Ridden (under 21 – lead rein included)

Class 8)    Foreign Breed Western Pleasure Saddle

Class 9)    Foreign Breed Hunter under Saddle

Class 10)   Foreign Breed Amateur Owned Trained & Shown Ridden (any attire) 

Class 11)    Best Action Shot (any breed, any discipline) 

Class 12)   Gone But Not Forgotten (Purebred Morgans only) 

Class 13)   Foreign Breeds Veteran Ridden or In Hand (15 years plus) 

Class 14)   Foreign Breeds Harness (any harness any vehicle)

Championship Class: All horses placed first will be put forward for the championship 

Entries £5.00 per class this includes free 2nd Class mail within the UK.

Rosettes to 6th Place in all classes except Championship which will have champion and reserve.

Pictures will be added to designated albums on BMHS Facebook page for our nominated judge to make their decision. 

The BMHS will request your address once judging has taken place so we can forward your rosettes. 


Terms and Conditions 

  • BMHS online Horse Showing is a "fun" show 

  • The judges' decisions are final and judging will commence once all images have been uploaded onto the BMHS Facebook page, by the specified closing date and time

  • Images will not be uploaded and or judged until payment has been received

  • All entrants must have permission to use any and all images they submit and, you must have permission from everyone in the image to enter

  • Using someone's image without their permission will result in their entry being disqualified

  • Any person under the age of 16 must have parental consent to take part in classes

  • All images sent to the BMHS online Horse Show will be in the public domain

  • Horse & Rider combinations may enter each class as many times as they like as long as the correct entry fee has been received

  • We strongly advise that all relevant personal protective equipment is worn; under 18s will not be permitted to enter classes unless they are wearing, CORRECTLY FITTED AND FASTENED riding hats

  • Results will be posted on the BMHS Facebook page as soon as possible after judging has taken place

  • Rosettes will be posted as and when possible
